CYMA Job Cost System Requirements
CYMA Job Cost Software is a modular piece of an integrated accounting system. Another module called System Manager, that controls users and companies, is required for use with the CYMA system.
Other optional modules include Payroll Software, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,General Ledger, Inventory, Purchase Order, Sales Order and Bank Reconciliation.

Pervasive.SQL Version 9.1.1 is the underlying database engine
used by CYMAIV. You must purchase a separate
license to operate Pervasive.SQL Version 9.1.1 with your
CYMAIV product. If you have
obtained and installed Pervasive.SQL Version 9.1.1 from a source
other than CYMA, please ensure that it
meets the requirements below. Versions prior to Pervasive.SQL Version 9.1.1
are not supported for use with CYMAIV Version 8.x. The
Pervasive.SQL Version 9 database comes in several different
versions, but CYMAIV Version 8.x uses Pervasive.SQL
Version 9.1.1 or greater.
Pervasive.SQL Version 9.1.1 Workgroup - Pervasive.SQL
Version 9.1.1 Workgroup engine is used for standalone or
peer-to-peer installations. It is the recommended engine if
you have five or fewer concurrent users of
CYMAIV. The
standard Workgroup engine comes with a license for five concurrent Pervasive users and
is included on the CYMAIV Installation CD. Additional
concurrent Pervasive users can be licensed individually.
Pervasive.SQL Version 9.1.1 Server - Pervasive.SQL Version 9.1.1 Server engine is used for
true server environments. The Pervasive.SQL Version 8
Server supports Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2003 Server
environments. You may license 10, 20, 50 or unlimited user count versions
of the Server engine. If you have purchased this
engine, you should have received a separate disk containing
this license.

Recommended System
Requirements
CYMAIV, like all
Windows based applications, performs better with larger
amounts of available memory and faster processor
speeds. Servers or heavy use workstations (users
who process larger numbers of transactions, customers,
vendors, etc.) will find that 700Mhz PIII CPU (or
similar processors) with 512MB of memory can make a
substantial difference in system performance.
NOTES:
1. Does not work in DOS, Windows
95, Windows NT, Windows 98, or Windows
ME.
2. Novell requires a "SWAP" file in
order to
build and use "temp" files. A generally accepted measure
is that the "SWAP" file size should equal twice
that of the computer's RAM. Refer to your Novell
documentation in regards to configuring your Novell swap
file.

Pervasive.SQL Version 9.1.1 Workgroup and Server version
configurations work in a multi-user environment; however,
Pervasive.SQL Version 9.1.1 Workgroup is not recommended for Windows
2003 Server installations.
